What’s going on everybody? I hope you are all having a great Sunday afternoon, maybe getting ready to watch this Braves game against the Mets. If not, though, I decided I would throw together some of the latest news of the professional Atlanta sports teams. Fortunately for me, I could find them all in one place, the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Well here we go, and be sure to check back later for the Braves recap, and also recaps of the Georgia and Georgia Tech baseball series.

Braves

Carroll Rodgers writes about McCann’s last day of rehab with Gwinnett:

"McCann, originally scheduled to DH on Sunday, will catch the first game of Gwinnett’s makeup doubleheader, beginning at 12:30 p.m., and then after the first game, he’s expected to head down to join the Braves at Turner Field as they prepare to leave Sunday evening for Cincinnati."

Falcons

D. Orlando Ledbetter talks about the early success linebacker Brian Banks is having in Falcons camp:

"“It was real good today, to get out there,” Banks said. “I’ve been in film for the last two weeks and to finally get a chance to get out there and finally put the knowledge that we’ve been putting on paper out onto the field was a really good experience for the first time.”"

Hawks

Jeff Schultz an Chris Vivlamore discuss Josh Smith’s desires to test free agency:

"Does he want to come back?“The only thing I know is I want to be able to experience free agency. I want to explore my options and see what’s out there. I don’t have any certain idea what’s going to happen.”If Smith has played his final game here, he finished with 10,371 points, eighth most in Hawks history."

The story goes on to discuss other players including Zaza Pachulia, and Kyle Korver.

So be sure to check out all of the great stuff that the AJC is putting out, and feel free to discuss your opinions on Josh Smith’s possible departure. Personally, I don’t think he will be coming back but of course Brad is our expert on everything Hawks.

We will be back later, stay tuned.
