NBA Draft 2013: Atlanta Hawks Select Dennis Schroeder At Pick #17

With the second of two 1st-round picks, the Atlanta Hawks have selected German point guard Dennis Schroeder.

Schroeder was thought to be gone before the Hawks would make their two selections, but he is an incredibly interesting prospect. At 6-foot-2, Schroeder is lightning fast, and he’s a score-first point guard who reportedly attacks the rim at will.

The selection of a point guard is very, very interesting as the Hawks evaluate Jeff Teague and other free agents, but Schroeder is a good value at #17. More info to come.
