Today the Atlanta Hawks released their 2013 preseason home schedule. Although the preseason doesn’t really mean anything other than finding out how the team is shaping up just before crunch time, the games that are going to be played look to be interesting. The Hawks will play just three preseason home games but all of them come against teams that were in the playoffs this past year and look to be going for them again next season.

Make sure you go ahead and mark your calendars for these games if you are interested because it will be your first chance to see how the Atlanta Hawks match up against some of the top competition in the league. Two of these teams (Spurs/Pacers) also went 7 games with the defending champions, so it’s definitely a challenging home preseason schedule for a team that doesn’t really look to have everything ready this year.

The Pacers are gong to be one of the best teams in the Eastern conference yet again, with Paul George an emerging star while the Spurs are consistently a quality team. The San Antonio game will also be interesting if for no other reason than it will be head coach Mike Budenholzer’s first game against his previous employer.
