In a follow-up move to Sunday’s massive cuts, the Atlanta Falcons announced on Monday morning that they had cut three additional players in order to meet the deadline for a roster size of 75.

Specifically, the team waived wide receivers Rashad Evans, Marcus Jackson and Marcus Sales in order to get down to 75, and frankly, none of the trio were expected to make the team by anyone. Evans was originally signed as an undrafted free agent from Fresno State, while Jackson and Sales came from Lamar and Syracuse respectively.

Even with the roster at 75, however, the Falcons still have work to do in determining their 53-man active roster by the time Week 1 arrives. That will be the round of cuts that is most interesting for the team, but even with that, this is a pretty stable roster with very few real battles for roster spots.

Perhaps the highest-profile battle for a roster spot includes Brian Banks, the reclamation project with a riveting back-story, but for now, he is safe. Stay tuned for the rest of the moves as they come in.
