Today, the Braves have activated Jason Heyward from the disabled list and he will start in center-field and bat lead-off in this afternoon’s game against the Cubs. And we don’t even have to wait til tonight to see it! Today’s game is at 2:20PM, day baseball in Chicago!

Does stunned even cover it right now? NO ONE expected this. It came out of nowhere.

I actually really like the move. There is really no reason to send him to the instructional league to get at-bats when he can just do it in the majors. We have the division wrapped up and he can basically use these last 10 games as rehab.

I also love that he will be playing center-field. That is the biggest hole in our lineup right now by far. Could you imagine it going from our biggest weakness to possibly our biggest strength? It’s not like he can be less productive than what we are getting out of BJ Upton and Jordan Schafer right now.
