In case you missed it, check out our full-length preview from Monday morning. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get it going.

As mentioned in the preview (multiple times, mind you), this is a must-win for Atlanta, and everyone knows it. The Jets are the inferior team in this spot, and with a big-time crowd on the horizon with a Monday night audience, that should be effective in pushing the Falcons over the top.

On the injury front, Sam Baker and Akeem Dent have already been ruled out for the game, and while Steven Jackson apparently fought to the bitter end, he will miss his 3rd straight game here. As game time approaches, the only player who is considered to be “up in the air” is Asante Samuel, but most reports seem to be positive on the cornerback, and it would be a mild surprise if he didn’t suit up.

Lastly, our friends in Las Vegas have installed the Falcons as a 9.5 or 10-point favorite, and that tells you a lot about this spot. That may be the largest line of the year for the Falcons, and this is a game that should be a pure “take care of business” spot for a team with playoff aspirations.

Hit us up in the comments below (used as a game thread!) and stay tuned for post-game analysis, including a full recap shortly after the game.
