Greetings! First of all, be sure to check out our recap of the Sunday afternoon’s game with the Memphis Grizzlies, as it was the last time the Hawks took the floor in preseason action. With that out of the way, it’s time to turn our attention toward the Indiana Pacers, who visit Philips Arena for the final preseason home tilt of the year.

You may remember that the Hawks were unceremoniously bounced from the playoffs by Indiana last season, so there should be a bit of residual animosity from that encounter, but more over, this is an opportunity for the players on the fringe of the roster to make a final push. The Hawks placed James Johnson on waivers on Monday, leaving Royal Ivey, Shelvin Mack, and Eric Dawson as the likely “cut” candidates, and it could be important to see who (if any) receives playing time on Tuesday.

In addition, starting power forward Paul Millsap was reportedly (courtesy of the AJC’s Chris Vivlamore) icing a sore left achilles yesterday, and Mike Budenholzer was quoted as saying that “(we) will come in and see how (Millsap) is feeling tomorrow morning.”

Stay tuned as tip-off approaches for any breaking news!
