Hello, Charlottesville! It’s difficult to say that this is a “test” on the road for Georgia Tech given Virginia’s 2-5 record, but the fact that it is away from home makes it a perilous spot, at least. As we covered in the full game preview on Thursday, Virginia’s offense doesn’t scare anyone, and that makes it a bit safer for a normally-stout Tech defense. However, this is an opportunity to see if the dominant option performance against Syracuse was a sign of progress or simply an aberration.

Our friends in Las Vegas have installed Georgia Tech as a 10-point road favorite, and that, honestly, tells you everything you need to know about this game. A loss in this spot would quickly destroy any momentum gained from the Syracuse game last week, and the Paul Johnson regime can’t afford to let these players look past a struggling UVA team by sleep-walking through an early kick-off.

Stay tuned to this thread throughout the morning and afternoon, and feel free to blast off in the comments before, during, and after the game.
