Arizona Fall League & Dominican Winter League Recaps: 11/1

Arizona Fall League
There were a couple of players in action yesterday for the Scorpions. Here are the lines:
- Robby Hefflinger – 1-4, R, K
- Kyle Kubitza – 2-4, R, K
- Juan Jaime – 0.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Robby Hefflinger finally broke up his hit-less streak. After going hit-less in his past 4 games, Hefflinger finally singled in the 9th inning. Hopefully, this will get him going a bit. Kyle Kubitza smacked 2 singles last night to continue he decent AFL season. He hasn’t really stood out but has been consistent in his hitting and drawing walks at a good rate. He has put up a decent slash line of .268/.388/.341/.729. Juan Jaime struggled again yesterday. Jaime couldn’t finish a complete inning, only retiring 2 batters before being pulled. After bookending strikeouts around a walk, it all fell apart for Juan. He gave up a walk, single, single, walk and was pulled. Juan has been really inconsistent this fall, putting up an 8.59 ERA in his 7.1 innings pitched. He has struck out 10, but allowed 11 hits and walked 7 to put his whip up over 2. Hard to pitch scoreless outings when you always have multiple guys on base.
The Scorpions play today at 12:35 MST and the AFL Fall Star Game is tomorrow with an off day on Sunday. We will recap all the action for you on Monday.
Dominican Winter League
