Real, live basketball in Athens! Earlier in the day, we took a full look at the prospects of the UGA basketball program this season, but now, it’s a singular opponent as the Dawgs host the Wofford Terriers at Stegeman Coliseum.

On the surface, this may seem like a walk-over, but Wofford has been a quality program for years, and this is no different. They were a bit “down” last season when they finished 13-19 overall and 7-11 in the Southern Conference, but they return their top 3 scorers from last season in what can be a reasonably explosive offense.

In the same vein, our pals in Las Vegas have made Georgia only a 7.5-point favorite against Wofford (even in the friendly confines of Stegeman) and since they are smarter than I am, my guard is up with regard to any sort of “easy” victory. More importantly, however, this is the first time we can examine Mark Fox and company without the services of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and the way the offense moves and operates should be interesting to follow.

Stay tuned for more coverage!
