Bulldog Nation is still enjoying the afterglow of a win in Jacksonville over the Gators, but it’s time to get back on the field in Athens. UGA hosts Appalachian State today in what should be a rather easy “test” for the Bulldogs, but it’s never good to overlook an opponent, and I’m sure Mark Richt had plenty of points of emphasis despite the positive result on the scoreboard last week.

I would certainly expect a “cruising” victory for Georgia here, as Appalachian State simply doesn’t present the type of resistance necessary to slow down the Georgia running game (or really the entire offense), and/or the firepower to beat up Todd Grantham’s defense. Our pals in Las Vegas have installed Georgia as a staggering 40-point (yes, 40) favorite in the game, and if that doesn’t tell you everything that you need to know, I don’t know what will.

Stay tuned for post-game analysis, including a full recap shortly after the game, and it would be a shock to see anything other than a lopsided victory.
