Despite grabbing a win on Sunday afternoon, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will look to get a somewhat sour taste out of their mouths when they take on Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday night. It’s never bad to get a win in Division 1 college hoops, but eeking out a 7-point decision against a far inferior opponent isn’t always fun, and having to come from behind to accomplish it is even less enthralling. However, the Jackets get another breath of fresh air in McCamish Pavilion.

Mississippi Valley State visits Atlanta with a 1-4 mark on the young season, and they are currently 350th out of 351 teams (yikes) in Ken Pomeroy’s infamous college basketball ratings. In short, this isn’t exactly a difficult opponent for the much more talented Jackets, and it’s time for a blowout-type victory to ease the minds of any doubters.

For a better idea of just how far these teams are perceived to be apart, our pals in Las Vegas have this game “off the board” at this stage. For the beginners, this either means that the game would be too lopsided to have a line or that there was simply zero interest in “bookmaking” a game including Mississippi Valley State. You get the drift.

Stay tuned for more information as it arrives, and we will bring you a recap after the final buzzer sounds.
