This is a game that leads virtually no introduction if you are a fan of either program, but we did our best to break the game down in long-form fashion on Friday morning. The match-ups are outstanding with Todd Gurley against the awesome Tech run defense, as well as the vaunted triple-option against the high-end athletes from Athens, but in the end, the big-time focus of the day seems to be on Hutson Mason’s debut under center for the Bulldogs.

I’m positive that Mason’s play will be the national storyline, almost regardless of what happens, but there are so many places where this game could swing, and that’s what makes it great.

Our trusted pals in Las Vegas have installed Georgia as a 3 to 3.5-point favorite in the game (depending on where you look), and that should account for the uncertainty surrounding Mason in his first collegiate start. That is still a great deal of respect for the Bulldogs, however, and I could see the reasoning behind some pundits who believe that the Jackets (playing at home) should be favored in the absence of Aaron Murray. Either way, this is going to a wild one on both sides, and it’s time to get your popcorn ready.

Stay tuned to this thread throughout the afternoon, and feel free to blast off in the comments before, during, and after the game.
