It has been a full calendar month since Paul Johnson and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have been on the football field, but the long wait is over! The Jackets are set to face-off with Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl on Monday afternoon, and all eyes are on Nashville for the proceedings.
Earlier in the day, we brought you a full-length preview of what to expect when the two teams hit the gridiron, but it should be a closely-fought battle. Both teams feature identical 7-5 records with flashes of brilliance and tough bouts with quality opposition, and it’s always fun to see the ACC and SEC square off in Bowl contention.
Our friends in Las Vegas have made Ole Miss approximately a 3-point favorite in the game (on a neutral field), but anything set at a field goal or less is a virtual coinflip. For me, the Jackets simply need to establish the ground game (stating the obvious, I’m aware), but more importantly, get to the passer on the defensive side (paging Jeremiah Attaochu!) in order to make Bo Wallace’s life difficult in the backfield.
Stay tuned to this thread throughout the afternoon, and feel free to blast off in the comments before, during, and after the game.
