First Quarter

Score Before: 0-0

Score After: 0-0

Both teams looked solid defensively in the first quarter of the game, and each drive of the quarter ended up in punts for both teams.

Georgia looks a bit better offensively, because of some nice play action passes from Hutson Mason and a reception from Todd Gurley out of the backfield.

We saw a glimpse of Tommy Armstrong Jr.’s running threat with a 24 yard rush during Nebraska’s first drive, but other than that the young quarterback has been much of a non-factor.

I’d expect Georgia to start pulling away as they continue to set up their rushing game. It’s only a matter of time before Gurley starts breaking some bigger runs. In the meantime, the Dawgs defense has all but shut down the Cornhuskers passing attack.
