Earlier in the week, we brought you a full-length preview of what to expect when the Hawks and Nets take the floor on Thursday afternoon, but we’re back with all of the nuts-and-bolts information that you need. In case you’ve been asleep in recent days, this particular game is taking place in London, England (hence the 3:00 pm start time on a Thursday afternoon), and the attention of the entire NBA is on this match-up.

In short, Brooklyn is playing much better basketball recently, but they are without their two best players in Deron Williams (ankle) and Brook Lopez (foot injury, out for the season), which gives Atlanta some life. There are several story lines, ranging from the location of the game to Kyle Korver going for his 108th straight game with a 3-pointer, and this should be fun. Lastly, DeMarre Carroll was ruled out for the game officially on Wednesday, and he didn’t travel with the team due to the birth of his daughter.

On a neutral court, the Nets have been installed as a 1.5-point favorite in the game, and frankly, that’s a significant slap in the face to the Hawks. Atlanta has been the better team for the entirety of the season, and while they certainly aren’t the same without Al Horford, I can’t fathom a scenario where they’d be an underdog to a Brooklyn team without Lopez and Williams. Alas, that is where we are, and the two teams will battle it out on the floor on Thursday afternoon.
