Last week, the Atlanta Dream announced that Angela Taylor has been named the new Executive Vice President and General Manager. Taylor has had previous experience in the same position for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics.

"“We are extremely pleased to bring Angela to the Atlanta dream as we work to ensure our team has the tools to take our organization to the next level.”"

The move to bring in Taylor could be that one off-season move that helps the Dream take the next step and pull off a series win in the WNBA Finals.

"“I am honored to return to the WNBA and contribute to the continued growth of the league as a part of the Atlanta Dream.”"

Taylor also has had some coaching experience. She served as an assistant coach at Stanford University and was also a part of the staff at Texas A&M University. In 1996 and 1997, she appeared in the NCAA Final Four as an assistant coach on the Stanford Cardinal staff.

Angela Taylor was visibly excited in recent interviews introducing her as a part of one of the most successful teams in the WNBA in recent years, and as a 17-year veteran of the sports industry, that isn’t taken lightly . This looks to be an excellent hire for the Dream, and hopefully, they can maintain their impressive run over the past couple of seasons.
