Mark Fox’s club saw their 4-game winning streak come to a crashing end in Knoxville earlier in the week, but despite the fact that they are on the road again on Saturday, this is a much friendlier environment. Columbia, South Carolina hasn’t exactly been a house of horrors for opponents this season, as the Gamecocks are only 10-16 overall and 3-10 in conference, and Georgia is the better team here.

South Carolina, much like UGA, has been a fairly balanced team this season, but they don’t do any single thing extremely well. If there is a singular emphasis for the road team in this spot, it should probably be on the defensive glass, as USC comes in with an astounding offensive rebound rate of 38.8% on the season, and second-chance points are vital to their entire scheme.

Las Vegas has installed Georgia as a 1-point underdog in the game (and KenPom projects a 3-point defeat), but that has more to do with the road venue than anything else. On a neutral court, Georgia would be a solid favorite, and with the exception of the laid egg earlier in the week, this team has played very well recently and should be looking toward improving to 9-5 in SEC play with a win.

Stay tuned for updates as they arise.
