The woes of the Atlanta Hawks continued tonight, as the Boston Celtics used a great all-around effort to pick up a 115-104 win.

Each of the Celtics starting players scored in the double figures including 29- and 22-point performances from Jerryd Bayless and Rajon Rondo respectively. The Celtics also shot extremely well at the free throw line, knocking down 21 of 23 shots (91.3 percent).

The story of this game though–at least in my opinion–is on the glass.

The Hawks were outrebounded by a ridiculous margin of 46-29. The Hawks actually out-shot Boston from the floor, making 50 percent of their shots and 9 of their 19 3-pointers (47.4 percent). Jeff Teague led Atlanta with 26 points and continued his recent streak of scoring, and Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll combined to hit 7-10 from 3-point land.

But the shooting alone just wasn’t good enough to pick up a win against Boston at home.

The Hawks are struggling mightily at this point and really need some of their big men to get back on the court. Until then, it’ll probably be more of the same. Next stop is Sunday in Phoenix.
