Well, this is a big one.

The Georgia Bulldogs thumped Mississippi State at home earlier in the week, but now, Mark Fox’s club takes to the road in their regular season finale against the LSU Tigers. In short, this is an unequivocal must-win for UGA in order to maintain any sort of fantasy surrounding an at-large bid, and that makes this one a top priority.

LSU is a solid opponent in every way, and the Tigers have won 7 consecutive games in their home building. Unfortunately for UGA, they are just short of being a top-50 RPI team (currently ranked at #63), but winning this type of road game would do wonders for Georgia’s perception and potentially set the stage for the all-elusive run to the SEC Tournament final that could produce at-large consideration.

Las Vegas has installed Georgia as a 7-point underdog in the game (and KenPom projects a 5-point defeat), and to be honest, LSU should be a mild favorite in this one. Still, Georgia has earned their lofty SEC mark in recent weeks, and it wouldn’t be (at all) a surprise to see the Dawgs emerge with a road victory in this spot.

Stay tuned for updates as they arise.
