Earlier in the week, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets grabbed by far their best win of the season, as they shockingly went on the road to Syracuse and knocked off the 7th-ranked Orange in the Carrier Dome. However, this is no time to rest on the laurels of that win for the Jackets, and they’ll be back on the floor on Saturday afternoon against Virginia Tech.

Fortunately, the visiting Hokies have had a pretty rough go of it this season, as they currently sit at just 9-20 overall and 2-15 in ACC play. Offensively, Virginia Tech has struggled mightily, ranking outside the top-250 nationally in efficiency, and that is a bad match-up against the suddenly stingy Tech defense. The Hokies aren’t completely void of talent, but this is a game where Brian Gregory’s club has a significant advantage in that category, and the Jackets should be able to take advantage.

Our pals in Vegas have the Yellow Jackets as 7-point favorites in this game, and that seems like a pretty significant indictment of Virginia Tech. KenPom also has projected a 7-point win for the Jackets on the road, and with how this season has gone, it would be nice to get a win on the way to the ACC Tournament.
