There is at least one Braves starting pitcher that is feeling good right now and his name is Julio Teheran.  Teheran continued his wonderful spring by tossing 4 perfect innings today against the over-matched Phillies.  Julio struck out 3 while setting down 12 straight batters over his 4 innings of work.  Teheran has now thrown 9 scoreless innings this spring, allowing only 6 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batter.  At this point folks, you are looking at your Braves 2014 Opening Day starter.

Atahualpa Severino,  Anthony Varvaro, Juan Jamie and Cory Gearrin all pitched scoreless innings in relief.  Craig Kimbrel allowed the only run in the 7th by walking a couple of guys and allowing a single.  That is his first run allowed this spring.  He will probably still make the roster.

As for the hitters, they feasted on the Phillies pitching for the second day in a row.  Dan Uggla hit a homer for the second straight day and added a single and is hitting .318(7-22) so far this spring with 7 runs knocked in, 6 walks and 8 strike outs.  Jason Heyward continued his torrid hitting, going 2-2 with a walk and is hitting .379(11-29) this spring with 8 hits in his last 11 at bats.  The Braves also got 2 run bombs from Edward Salcedo(his first) and Todd Cunningham(his second).  Andrelton Simmons was the only other Brave with 2 hits.

The Braves will play split squad games tomorrow against the Marlins and the Nationals, both at 1:05 PM EST.
