The Atlanta Hawks (31-36) saw their brief six-game winning streak come to an end Friday night, as the New Orleans Pelicans and Anthony Davis took it to them in Philips Arena. The Hawks are going to try and get back in the win column and solidify their chances in the playoffs or grab a higher seed with another win against the Toronto Raptors (38-30) today.

Atlanta and Toronto just recently faced off, with the Hawks getting the better of them in a 118-113 overtime win last Tuesday.

That game featured huge efforts from Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap, with the former scoring a game-high 34 points and the latter recording a triple-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. It’s pretty unlikely that the duo will put up those colossal numbers again this time, so the Hawks are going to need their role players–DeMarre Carroll, Elton Brand, Pero Antic, Mike Scott–to do a bit more of the heavy lifting.

Just like last Tuesday, the guy to watch out for with the Raptors is first-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan. He’s putting up career highs in all sorts of different offensive categories and is leading the team with 22.9 points per game. The offense really goes through him and if the Kyle Korver/DeMarre Carroll can make things difficult for him, the Hawks should have a decent shot at the win. Jeff Teague will also get a pretty tough matchup with Kyle Lowry, who’s leading the Raptors with a 20.2 PER this season.

Vegas puts the Hawks as 6.5-point underdogs in this one.
