The Atlanta Falcons will resume their preseason schedule on Saturday night against the Houston Texans, and if one report proves to be true, they could have a familiar face in a uniform and pads. ESPN injury expert Stephania Bell took to Twitter on Thursday, and revealed some information about wide receiver Julio Jones, including that he “expects” some action this weekend.

It is considered to be a foregone conclusion that the 25-year-old Jones will be ready for the start of the regular season, but until he is active on the field for a game, part of the fan base remains skeptical. In five games last season, Jones was arguably the best receiver in football, averaging 116 yards per game with 7 total touchdowns, but he suffered a foot injury that cost him the remainder of the year, and has been forced to spend the off-season in recovery.

If Julio Jones were to take the field on Saturday, it would be wise to expect a sparse workload, but any appearance would be very encouraging, especially for Matt Ryan and company. Stay tuned.
