Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars preview: Start Time, TV Channel, Live Stream, Point Spread and More

It has been an up and down preseason for the Atlanta Falcons, from participating in HBO’s Hard Knocks to generating a 1-2 record in the first three games, but the exhibition campaign wraps up on Thursday evening in North Florida against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last week, the Falcons fell to the Tennessee Titans in the “dress rehearsal” portion of the program, but in the final preseason contest, we should expect a significant decrease in playing time for starting-caliber players, and thus, more of an exhibition feel.

There are a few position battles up for grabs at this stage, and if you’ve missed any part of our season preview series to this point, you can get caught up here. The offensive line, linebacking corps and secondary are particular points of interest, and if things go sideways, we could see prominent players (Josh Wilson? Javier Arenas?) on their way out following this particular game.

For the degenerates among us (identify yourselves!), Las Vegas has installed the Falcons as 4-point underdogs in the game. Do what you will with that in this setting, but this is preseason football to the highest degree.

The final preseason game is often ugly, and frankly, it isn’t terribly interesting unless you are a diehard fan that tracks the ins and outs of the 53-man roster. Still, there is real, live football on Thursday, and the next time we’ll see Matt Ryan and company on the field following this one will be against the New Orleans Saints in the regular season opener.

Here is a look at the particulars for Thursday night:
