Atlanta Hawks vs. Indiana Pacers Preview: Back at Philips Arena

After dropping their season opener on the road to the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night, the Atlanta Hawks return to Philips Arena for their first home game of the season and, hopefully, their first win.

This one should be even more interesting considering that the opposing team is the Indiana Pacers. If you forgot, the last time these two teams went at it was in the post season, where the Hawks just barely missed upsetting the No. 1 seed Pacers in the first round.

The Pacers on 1-0 on the season after taking down the Philadelphia 76ers and while Paul George isn’t going to be playing anytime soon, Roy Hibbert is the type of player who can carry a team at times. In Indiana’s opener, Hibbert led the team with 22 points and also picked up eight rebounds and a ridiculous seven blocks.

The rest of the starters for Indiana are Rodney Stuckey or Donald Sloan at the point, C.J. Miles, Chris Copeland and Luis Scola.

For this one, Hawks rookie Adreian Payne won’t be available:
