Atlanta Hawks vs. Indiana Pacers preview: Quick Road Trip

facebooktwitterreddit

After taking their sixth straight game last night against the Denver Nuggets, the Atlanta Hawks hit the road for a brief road trip where they will take on the Indiana Pacers. Sitting tied for second in the Eastern Conference, the Hawks are playing their best basketball of the season.

The team will need to capitalize on their relatively soft schedule thus far with another win against a struggling Indiana team.

The Pacers have lost four straight and are coming off of a brutal 102-101 overtime loss in Sacramento. The team is 7-13 on the season and despite hauling in the second-most rebounds per game in the league, are managing just 93.5 points per game–26th in the league.

Roy Hibbert has been the team’s top player at this point, with an 18.5 PER. He’s averaging 12.7 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game and 2.6 blocks per game.

With the Hawks playing some of the best defense we’ve seen from them in years, this one could be extremely ugly for the Pacers on the offensive end.
