Orlando Magic vs. Atlanta Hawks preview: Aiming for double-digits

The Atlanta Hawks are scorching hot right now, and that fact was reinforced on Friday night with their ninth consecutive victory. Atlanta did not play particularly well in the game, despite the positive final result, but Mike Budenholzer and his team will have every opportunity to rectify at poor play in a rematch against the Orlando Magic on Saturday night.

The second leg of the back-to-back series with the Magic takes place in central Florida, giving Hawks fans a little bit of pause as to the ability to win a tenth straight games. Atlanta has been a robust 11-2 at Philips Arena this season against just 5-4 on the road, and even with a significant talent advantage over Orlando, nothing is given in the NBA when playing in hostile territory.

Paul Millsap continued his stellar play on Friday night with a 20+ point effort, and he will look to take full advantage of the undersized Magic frontcourt once again in this match-up. The Magic could be without center Nikola Vucevic (who almost missed Friday’s game), and if they are, the roster construction sets up nicely for another big game for the entire Atlanta frontline.
