Julio Jones and William Moore out for Pittsburgh game

Just minutes away from taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Atlanta Falcons will have to go for the win without Julio Jones and William Moore:

This news isn’t shocking by any means, thanks to the injury reports we’ve had all week out of Falcons camp, but it’s disappointing nonetheless because of what these two players (especially Jones) bring to the table.

In addition to Jones and Moore, cornerback Robert Alford, quarterback Sean Renfree linebacker Tyler Starff, tackle Jonathan Scott and linebacker James Anderson are all out according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter.

Coming into the game, Jones leads the team (and the NFL) in receiving yards with 1,428. He’s tied for the team lead in touchdowns with Roddy White at six, and he’s averaging 15.4 yards per catch and 109.8 yards per game.

Moore has 23 total tackles for the Falcons defense as well as a pair of forced fumbles.

Without Jones and Moore other players will have to step up. Look for Roddy White, Devin Hester and Harry Douglas to be more involved in the passing game than usual.
