Atlanta Hawks vs. Dallas Mavericks preview: Round Two in Texas

facebooktwitterreddit

Saturday, the Atlanta Hawks continued dominating their schedule with a 104-97 win over the Houston Rockets. Tonight the team heads out to Texas to take on the Dallas Mavericks, who are coming off of a 99-93 win against the defending champs.

The Mavericks come into this game with the best offense in the NBA, scoring 109.7 points per game. Their new pick up, Rajon Rondo, seems to be fitting in well and is coming off of a nine assist, seven rebound game. Throwing him in the mix with Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons and Monta Ellis makes a good offense scary–and it will be a challenge for the Hawks to slow them down, improved defense or not.

Still, the team has been playing what some say is the best defense in the league over this 12-1 run they’ve made in the past few weeks, holding teams to 97 point per game and 41.8 percent shooting from the floor.

The Mavericks come into this game with a dangerous look on paper, but the Hawks have been making many good teams look pretty mediocre and coming away with big wins on a regular basis. Will they keep that up in Texas?
