Atlanta Hawks vs. Memphis Grizzlies preview: Grit and Grind

Can the Atlanta Hawks be stopped?

It doesn’t seem like it. They’ve lost just twice in their past 21 games, leading to some actual recognition from some of the bigger media people.

They followed that up with a 107-98 victory against Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers, and will try and keep this insane play going tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis has gone through a bit of a rough patch recently, losing five of their previous nine games, but they are coming off a 105-83 smack down of the New York Knicks (who dropped 12 straight with that loss) that might be enough to kickstart them again. They’ll need it with the way the Hawks have been playing.

Mike Conley was the man in that game for Memphis, leading the team with 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting while adding seven rebounds and seven assists.

The Grizzlies will certainly be anther challenge for Atlanta, and three of their starters (Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Conley) have +20 PERs on the season.
