Today on Grantland.com, Zach Lowe announced his (Grantland’s?) NBA All-Star teams. For the Eastern Conference team, that meant four–yes, four–members of the Atlanta Hawks, including one starter. As Lowe says in his piece, “FOUR HAWKS. Damn freaking right.”

I’m sure you know the four players already, but if you’re new to the team (hello bandwagoner, I’m not going to judge you) here they are:

There have been several arguments for the Hawks having these four players on the All-Star team this season, and while it’s possible that the group actually does make it, I wouldn’t say it’s probable.

So in the meantime, Hawks fans will have to settle for Zach Lowe–one of the brightest basketball minds in the business–rewarding the players on his faux team.

Here are some of Lowe’s comments on Horford and Korver specifically, but be sure to read the entire post, which has several paragraphs on the Hawks.

Horford

"Horford got off to a slow start while recovering from a pectoral tear, but he’s been tearing up the league over the last two weeks, and at his peak, Horford might be the best all-around big man in the East."

Korver

"Korver barely needs any airspace to flick off his quick release, and he’s shooting 47 percent — a number that could lead the league in some seasons — on 3s in which a defender is within four feet of him, per SportVU. I mean, I can barely process these numbers. He inspires panic in opposing defenses, and panic breeds both mistakes and paralysis."

Oh, and about these four players probably not all making the team like I said above? Yeah, Lowe tweeted that he’s predicting that each of them will be on the team:
