The Atlanta Falcons welcome the Baltimore Ravens to the Georgia Dome for the final preseason game of 2015 Thursday night.

Atlanta (1-2) has shown both signs of improvement as well as areas of concern under first year Head Coach Dan Quinn.  The pass rush looks much improved thanks in large part to the entire defensive front seven’s efforts to get in the best shape of their lives to fit in Quinn’s Base 4-3 Package.  Our Atlanta Falcons have actually shown a proclivity to disrupting the passer and tackling tailbacks for a loss of yardage this preseason.

The Atlanta Falcons’ offensive line and running game have been very much concerning for Quinn, as the offense struggles to run the football.  The offensive line had a difficult time keeping QB Matt Ryan clean in the pocket versus the Miami Dolphins.

Though most of the projected starters for the Atlanta Falcons will play sparingly at best in the fourth and final preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, there are still plenty of roster spots and rotational pecking orders to establish.

Atlanta still needs to figure out who the primary backup to Matt Ryan will be at quarterback.  T.J. Yates looked solid in the Miami Dolphins game.  Will either Sean Renfree or Rex Grossman have a strong showing on Thursday night?

Though the Week 1 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday is much more enticing than tomorrow night’s final preseason showdown, if you’re looking at who will win roster spots, this game is for you.

While marquee players are what fans pay to see, depth is where championships ultimately come from.  Football is a game so heavily influenced by injuries, so it’s in our best interest to see who will compromise the 53-man roster and practice squad.  Keep an eye on these five players tomorrow night on the Atlanta Falcons.
