The Atlanta Falcons have 16 players from their 2015 team heading towards free agency. Here are five players that Atlanta should look to re-sign for the 2016 NFL season.

The Atlanta Falcons are looking to improve their roster this offseason to get back to the NFC Playoffs after a three-year absence. Atlanta will have to get creative this offseason, as they only have five selections in the 2016 NFL Draft and only about $28 million to work with under the salary cap.

On Monday, the Atlanta Falcons organization parted ways with veteran players in outside linebacker Justin Durant and former 2009 second round NFL Draft pick strong safety William Moore. It seems that Atlanta is probably not done with cutting players to free up some much-needed cap space to appropriately address some of their issues in free agency.

Though the front office could look to trade back in the 2016 NFL Draft to acquire another pick or two to help fix their roster in that regard, Atlanta will have to address many of its issues in free agency this spring, albeit proceeding with caution.

One way that the Atlanta Falcons can address some of their issues is to bring back some of their players from their 2015 NFL roster, as continuity goes a long way in professional. The Falcons will know what exactly that they would have should they opt to re-sign a former player. Here are five players Atlanta should consider re-signing during the 2016 NFL offseason.
