With this addition, UGA has added a talented offensive tackle to their class in hopes of getting a couple more.

Demery gives the Georgia Bulldogs a future left or right tackle on the offensive line. According to 247sports.com, Demery is listed at 6’5 and 319 pounds. He is listed as a four-star recruit and the 101 player in the nation also according to 247sports.com. Demery committed to the Bulldogs after participating in the Golden Isles Exposure Camp that was held at his high school.

Head coach Kirby Smart and offensive line coach Sam Pittman are in the business of getting bigger and better in the trenches. With the commitment of Demery, they achieved both of those things. Pittman was even in attendance at the camp to watch his future lineman participate in the camp.

As far as Demery goes, he becomes a player who can come in and get coached up and play either tackle position along the offensive line. Demery has the size that you can’t coach and he has the ability to be a very good pass blocker. Demery joins teammates, Justin Shaffer and Netori Johnson of Cedar Grove as the offensive line commitments so far.

Pittman’s impact

The addition of Sam Pittman to Smart’s coaching staff was met with great excitement. He is one of the top offensive line coaches in the nation and he has a track record of putting lineman in the NFL. Coming over from Arkansas, he had the nations biggest offensive line. His coaching and recruiting has already been felt and it will only continue to improve.

Pittman has a chance to bring in the most talented group of offensive linemen that Georgia has ever seen. In the Peach State alone, their are many talented lineman still high on Georgia and some out of state talent that could go a long way in helping the offensive line improve.

Thomas is a four-star offensive tackle. According to 247sports.com, Thomas has been to Athens many times and likes the chance of early playing time.
