The Atlanta Falcons will begin their season against the Chicago Bears on September 10th. The Bears while an NFL team appear to be an easy first win for a stacked Falcons roster.

The Atlanta Falcons opening the season against the Chicago Bears and not against the New England Patriots as expected is a positive for the Falcons. The fact that the Falcons will not have to relive their Super Bowl loss to start the season will allow this team to move on before facing off against the Patriots.

Opening a season against the Bears should give the Falcons an easy first win of the season if they are able to stay healthy through the pre-season. The Bears roster has a lot of questions at the quarterback position as well as defensive holes. The biggest question will be who will step up on the Bears roster and attempt to slow down Julio Jones?

There is little hope for the Bears in slowing down Julio Jones a big first game from both Jones and Matt Ryan should be expected against an underwhelming Bears secondary. The first game of the season would only be better if it were played against the New York Jets or Cleveland Browns who are the only teams in the League with less talent than the Chicago Bears headed into the season.

A jump start will be needed for the Falcons who will take on the Packers in week 2 and the Detroit Lions in week 3 two prospective playoff teams with two of the top tier quarterbacks in the game. The Packers will be looking for a bit of revenge for the blowout loss the Falcons had against them in the playoffs.

September 10th cannot get here soon enough for the Falcons or their fans. The team is set for a season that will be full of questions after a Super Bowl loss.
