Luis Ayala will be called up today to take the spot of recently demoted Cory Gearrin in the Braves bullpen. Ayala has not appeared for the Braves since he was placed on the DL back on April 30th with some anxiety issues.

Luis has made 8 appearances covering 8.1 innings for AAA Gwinnett. In those appearances, he allowed 6 ER, but 5 of them came in one faulty appearance. He did walk 5 batters, but also struck out 8, and he has pitched better than his numbers indicate during his stay in Gwinnett.  He also threw 3 scoreless innings in Mississippi before coming to Gwinnett.
