Report: Head Coach Mike Budenholzer Arrested for DUI

It was a very quiet Thursday morning in Hawks land, and then, this happened.

There are still no specific details as of this posting, but the reports that new head coach Mike Budenholzer has been charged with DUI certainly don’t represent positive news. This could come with the (obvious) legal ramifications, to say nothing of a potential suspension from the team.
Zach Klein of WSB also released this statement from the Hawks following the breaking news.
"“Bud made us aware of the situation last night. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have further comment at the appropriate time.”"
When Budenholzer was hired, there was seemingly eternal optimism, but this something you never want to see from the “face” of your basketball team. Stay tuned for reports as they surface.
