In case you missed it, here’s a comprehensive look at what to expect when these two teams take the field at the Dome. The Rams enter into this match-up as a “hot” team nationally, thanks to Jared Cook’s explosion and a win over a division rival in the Cardinals last week, but that doesn’t stop Las Vegas from anointing the Falcons as a 7-point favorite as of this morning.

It’s always important to protect home field, but this is the type of Falcons team that could legitimately go 8-0 at the Dome this season. As the Seahawks proved last year (going 8-0 at home), that singular dominance of one venue can propel a team to the playoffs almost single-handedly, and that pursuit begins, in earnest, today.

Lastly, this is a huge moment for Steven Jackson, and you’d have to believe that his new teammates will do everything possible to get him a win over his old squad.
