After an absolutely enormous win over the LSU Tigers, the Georgia Bulldogs will be fighting against the proverbial “letdown” this week against Tennessee. Heading into the game, there are questions surrounding the availability of star running back Todd Gurley, but this is one of the only offenses in the country where that kind of absence could be overcome by other star power in the form of Aaron Murray and Keith Marshall.
We touched on the specifics of the battle in our preview on Friday, but this isn’t expected to be a “cruise” to victory. The Vols are playing at home in front of what will be an incredibly boisterous atmosphere, and with a schedule gauntlet that includes South Carolina and Alabama after this, this is a big one for Butch Jones and company.
Our pals in Las Vegas have installed the Bulldogs as a 10.5-point favorite (in most places) on the road, and that tells you a lot. Georgia is the significantly better team in this spot, and anything less than a solid margin of victory would be considered a disappointment.
