In case you missed it, we’ve dove into this game in full on Thursday, but there isn’t a ton of suspense here for either team. The lone “story” to follow as we get closer to game time is the status of All-World running back Todd Gurley. Gurley was declared as “doubtful” by head coach Mark Richt earlier in the week, and if he can’t go, the Dawgs will be forced to use JJ Green and Brendan Douglas with full workloads.
This has all the makings of an offensive shoot-out (even if Gurley can’t go), as Aaron Murray should have his way against a subpar Missouri defense, while Tigers QB James Franklin could nearly match him against the UGA secondary. Our close friends in Las Vegas have installed Georgia as an 8-point favorite in this game (with a total of 64), and with a gun to my head, I’d like the Bulldogs with that margin.
Stay tuned for post-game analysis, including a full recap shortly after the conclusion on the field, and be sure to stay active in the comments below before, during, and after the game!
