It seems like it’s been a month since the Hawks were on the court, but I guess that a 4-day break since the team toppled the Bobcats is a relatively long time.
When we last saw the Hawks, they were playing without Al Horford (for rest purposes), but he’s expected to go in this game, and we’ll conceivably get our most “real” look of the preseason. Mike Scott has been the breakout “star” of the first two games, and it will be an interesting opportunity to see if he can replicate that performance as he tries to force his way into the rotation.
For New Orleans, this is a de facto home game in a weird venue (Biloxi), and in theory, it would be a time to evaluate their new group of talent. However, Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon are both out for this game, and instead, we’ll get a look at Anthony Davis (the former #1 overall pick stud) playing with Jrue Holiday and former Hawk Anthony Morrow.
The countdown to tip-off begins.
