Elmer Reyes gets some love from Simba

It was another good day for Braves hitting prospects yesterday in Arizona.  All the position players that played got hits and the Scorpions finally won again. Here is the box score:

  • Elmer Reyes – 1-4, 2B, K
  • Tommy LaStella – 1-2, RBI, 2 BB
  • Robby Hefflinger – 1-4
  • Kyle Kubitza – 1-3, R, BB, CS

Elmer Reyes finally broke through in the hit column yesterday.  Reyes doubled in the fifth inning and is now 1-10 for the AFL season.  Tommy LaStella continues to impress.  He went 1-2 and is now 5-12 on the season and leads the AFL in walks with 6 and OBP at .611!  He still has not struck out.  Robby Hefflinger has now hit in three straight games, going 1-4 yesterday.  He is now 4-19 on the season and is tied for the AFL lead in Ks with 9.  Kyle Kubitza had a good game reaching base in 2 of his 4 plate appearances.  It’s nice to see the Braves hitters picking it up a bit after a slow start.

The Scorpions play the early game today, check back with us tomorrow for another update on these possible future Braves.
