Arizona Fall League
Here are the lines for the Braves in action yesterday:
- Tommy La Stella – 1-4, solo HR(1)
- Kyle Kubitza – 0-2, BB, K
- Robby Hefflinger – 0-4, 2 Ks
- Shae Simmons – 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 K
The Scorpions winning streak was snapped with a 7-4 loss, but Tommy La Stella still enjoyed a first for him in the AFL.  LaStella blasted his first AFL homer yesterday, but failed to walk for the second game in a row, GASP!  Tommy still leads the AFL in walks and is second in OBP and OPS.  He still hasn’t struck-out yet in AFL play.
Kyle Kubitza did not start, but came into the game in the bottom of the second and recorded a walk and a strikeout in 3 plate appearances.  It was not one of Robby Hefflinger’s banner games though as he went hitless in 4 at-bats with 2 whiffs.
Shae Simmons pitched well in relief, going 1.1 scoreless innings. Â He came in with a bases loaded situation with 2 outs in the 4th and recorded the final out on a fly ball to right. Â He pitched a perfect 5th with a strikeout.
The Scorpions are back in action tonight at 6:35 MST.
Dominican Winter League
There was only one game yesterday in the DWL and only one Brave saw action.
- Juan Cedeno – 0.1 IP, HOLD
Quite an eventful day for the Braves in the DWL as no hitters played and one pitcher recorded one out. Â But hey, at least he retired the one hitter he faced and got a HOLD!
Check back with us Monday for all the AFL and DWL updates from the weekend games.
