Arizona Fall League
It was only Braves batters that got to play yesterday in AFL action. Â Here are the lines:
- Tommy La Stella – 0-3, BB
- Robby Hefflinger – 0-4, 2 K
- Kyle Kubitza – 0-4, 2 K
Tommy La Stella finally walked again, after a 4 game walkless streak.  But unfortunately for Tommy, his hitting streak finally came to an end. La Stella had at least 1 hit in all 11 games he had played in so far, but that streak ended last night with an 0-3 game. La Stella still has an outstanding slash line on the season of .325/.481/.575/1.056.  There was a really good article on Baseball America yesterday giving a bit of a scouting report on Tommy La Stella and how well he has been hitting out in Arizona.  There is also a nice little video with it of LaStella hitting in the cage and in some games.  Check it out here.
Robby Hefflinger and Kyle Kubitza both put up 0-4 games and struck out twice each. Â Hefflinger is now in a 0-15 streak with 8 strikeouts. Â Ouch.
The Scorpions are of course back in action today at 12:35 MST. Â Check back tomorrow for the updates.
Dominican Winter League
Few different guys saw action yesterday in the DWL. Â Here are their lines:
- Edward Salcedo – 2-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2 K, fielding error
- Juan Cedeno – walked the only batter he faced
- Wirfin Obispo – 1 IP, HR, 1 ER, 2 K
Edward Salcedo collected a couple of hits yesterday, but also made a fielding error. Â Salcedo has always been known as a hitter and a weak fielder, and this game showed just that in a small sample size. Â Cedeno only pitched to one batter and walked him. Â Wirfin Obispo pitched a full inning and allowed a solo homer, but struck out 2.
Check back with us tomorrow to find out more updates on the DWL.
