Georgia Tech basketball is here! In case you missed it, we previewed the season in full on Thursday, and now that season is a reality as the Presbyterian Blue Hose (yes, that’s their mascot) visit McCamish Pavilion on Friday night.
This is our first chance to see Trae Golden in a Yellow Jackets uniform, and that is probably worth the price of admission on its own. In addition, all of last year’s prominent freshmen (Marcus Georges-Hunt, Solomon Poole, Robert Carter, Chris Bolden, etc.) have had an entire off-season in the program to mature and improve, and this is an opportunity to monitor their progress.
As far as the opponent is concerned, Las Vegas hasn’t even issued a “line” for the game, which tells you a lot about what’s happening. Presbyterian went 8-24 overall (4-12 in the Big South Conference) last season, and the talent edge should be fairly drastic in favor of the Yellow Jackets.
