After a devastating (and likely season-crushing) loss to Carolina last week, the Falcons are back in the friendly confines of the Georgia Dome to take on the Seattle Seahawks. In case you missed it, be sure to read our full-length preview that posted on Friday.
I am probably higher than most about the prospects of a win here, but I think the Falcons will compete valiantly throughout the contest. Seattle’s defense isn’t quite SEATTLE’S DEFENSE in recent days, and with Roddy White presumably back in the lineup (he is listed as questionable but is expected to play) and an improving Steven Jackson, the Falcons should be able to put up some points.
The experts in Las Vegas (and make no mistake, they are experts) have made the visiting Seahawks somewhere between a 5 and 6-point favorites in the game, and that also tells us that they believe Seattle to be more than a touchdown better than Atlanta on a neutral field. I can’t, in good conscience, pick the Falcons to win the game outright, but this should be competitive.
