Georgia suffered an unfortunate loss to Davidson on Thursday in Charleston, but there were some positive takeaways. The offense was excellent for the most part, shooting north of 55% from the field, and that is a decided switch from the previous action. With that, they will take a bit of momentum (at least on that side of the ball) into game 2 of the Charleston Classic when they face-off with Temple.

The Owls also dropped their opener on Thursday with a 14-point loss to Clemson, and with that, they are now 1-3 on the season. However, Temple always has talent, and this season is no different with junior guard Will Cummings. The 6-foot-2 guard is averaging nearly 19 points per game through 4 contests, and he will present some fits for Mark Fox and the defense in this one.

In addition, Temple has struggled a bit defensively this season, ranking 180th in the country in defensive efficiency (allowing 103.2 points per 100) and that could allow the Georgia offense to continue to soar here.

For the second straight game, Vegas has made Georgia an underdog to a team with a worse record, as Temple is currently a 2.5-point favorite in the game. That isn’t a shock, though, as the Owls are one year removed from an NCAA tournament berth and they are generally regarded as a solid program.
