After suffering their first loss of the season at the hands of Dayton, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday afternoon, as they host North Carolina A&T at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta.
You may guess that the visiting Aggies are overmatched, simply on name value alone, and frankly, you’d be right. A&T is allowing more than 8 points per 100 possessions more than they score through their first 3 games, and as members of the MEAC, this is a large step in competition. It is only 4 games, but the Georgia Tech defense ranks 35th (out of 351 D-1 teams) in defensive efficiency, and with the type of athleticism that Brian Gregory has at his disposal, that should continue today.
For guidance, we usually turn to the Las Vegas “experts”, but this game is currently “off the board” , presumably due to the unknown nature of the visiting team. However, this would likely be a line in the stratosphere based on the talent disparity, and anything less than a breezy victory would be a disappointment for Georgia Tech.
Stay tuned for more information, and an upcoming recap when the game is completed.
