Second Quarter

Score Before: 0-0

Score After: 10-9 Nebraska

The offenses of both teams came alive during the second quarter, but Georgia would have to settle for three field goals, while Nebraska and Tommy Armstrong Jr. took advantage of a muffed punt to get into the end zone.

The Bulldogs pushed down the field with seven runs and just one pass to give Marshall Morgan a shot at a 38-yard field goal that he would put away. It should also be noted that Lynch has undoubtedly been Mason’s go-to receiver so far, with some big catches, including a ten yard reception on this drive that led to three points.

The Bulldogs defense shut down Nebraska on their first drive of the game, but on the ensuing punt the Cornhuskers recovered after a muffed punt and took over on the 14-yard line. Two plays later, Nebraska is ahead 7-3.

Georgia offense is looking good but so far, they are being forced to settle for field goals. On the last drive, the team was putting together another good run, but like most of their drives during the second quarter, they had to settle for a field goal.
